Of the 40-plus people in my local office/corporate headquarters, I am the only one on my side of the building (local office). Four people are present on the corporate administration side. I almost feel bad having lights on beside my office. I definitely can concentrate as long as Oppo stops distracting me.

Nope, not in the US. I spent too much vacation time this year visiting Europpo and other trips already, and my company has a use-it-or-lose-it policy, so no banked vacation from previous years. Just enough to take New Year’s Eve off and have another 4 day weekend.

Sometimes those are the best kind of days at work.  You can actually concentrate on getting stuff done/goofing off, without being bothered by other people.

Fortunately I don’t need a huge amount of social interaction to be content. But I usually have to engage in it on a typical work day.

I assume that you are okay with being solo on your side of the factory?

yup i love it... but im so quiet at work my bosslady actually told me i need to start talking to people more (some days all i say is good morning and see you tomorow)

I was the same way, I once went 2 weeks without saying anything ... once I starting opening up to coworkers, I was told to shut up. No one shares my sense of humor in this place. Bah. They miss out.
